FSUSD Closed Due to Air Quality

Due to the very unhealthy air quality predicted for tomorrow, we have determined the need to close the entire district tomorrow, November 16, 2018.  We wanted to make this decision in a timely manner so our families can make child care arrangements.  Unfortunately, some of the parent-teacher conferences scheduled for tomorrow will need to be rescheduled after returning from Thanksgiving break.  All athletic activities as well as co/extra-curricular activities are canceled for tomorrow.  Unfortunately, the Tournament of Champions scheduled for Saturday, November 17 has also been canceled.

Tuesday August 28th TK-5   5:30-6:15 BBQ, 6:30-7:00 Classrooms

Grades TK & K – Chips and Hamburgers/Hot Dog Buns

Grade 1 Grade 2 —Hot dogs or Hamburgers*

Grade 3 – Salads (potato, pasta, green etc)

Grade 4—Veggies (lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced onions, pickle slices)

Grade 5—Individual Drinks (bottled water, Capri suns, and juice boxes) if you bring 2 liters of drinks please bring cups to serve the drinks in.

*Please drop off hamburgers by 4:00pm 8/28

Calling all Fashionistas

Is your student interested in doing the Fashion Show at the Westfield Mall here in Fairfield, August 4th between 12:00 and 1:00 pm? Please email Ms. Turner at JustineT@fsusd.org ASAP.

All ages of students are welcome and encouraged to participate. This is a super opportunity for our students to be showcased for their confidence and style.

We are in a bit of a time crunch for outfit selection, you will need to go to JCPenny's tomorrow, July 31st at JCPenny's between Noon and 5:00 pm.

There will be practices for the runway at Oakbrook on Thursday and Friday at 11:00 am. Please make sure if your student is participating in the Fashion Show that they come to practice these two days!!

Dancing with the Stars

Join us Saturday April 7th!

On Saturday, April 7th, Oakbrook Academy of the Arts will present a very special evening. Four of Oakbrook’s Dancing Dolphins performers will each be paired with local Fairfield community leaders to present a “Dancing With the Stars” showcase. The "Stars" themed event will be held from 7-9pm at the Joseph Nelson Center in Suisun featuring not only the dance talents of our very own Solano County celebs, but also a beautiful dessert buffet with coffee, tea and other after dinner treats. Dancers will perform one solo dance with their own student “pro”, and one group dance with the other “celebrities”…. there's a professional dance exhibition and you'll get a chance to learn some new moves with a group lesson!! Tickets are just $25 or 2 for $40. It's all in good fun to raise dollars for Oakbrook Academy of the Arts, Solano County's only free public arts-based curriculum open to all kids grades K-8! Cold and Flu Season is Here...

It is cold and flu season. Please make sure that you are keeping your student home if they have a fever. They must be fever free for 24 hours before they return to school.

Coughs don't always mean they are contagious, we know it can linger after all other symptoms have gone away. Please remind your student to cover their cough, either into their elbow, sweatshirt or tissue.
